Last updated: April 6, 2026
1. Service
Kerla provides a cloud-based community management platform for nonprofit organizations, cultural associations, and community groups. By using Kerla, you agree to these terms.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Community administrators are responsible for member data within their community.
3. Community data
Each community owns its data. Kerla processes data on behalf of communities as described in our Privacy Policy. Administrators can export and delete community data.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for illegal activities
- Upload malicious content or code
- Attempt to access other communities' data
- Abuse the email sending functionality (spam)
- Circumvent security measures
5. Service availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice. Free-tier communities may experience reduced priority during high-load periods.
6. Pricing and billing
Free communities are subject to usage limits. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. You can cancel at any time. Refunds are available within 14 days of a new subscription.
7. Termination
You may delete your community at any time. We may suspend communities that violate these terms. Upon termination, data is retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.
8. Liability
Kerla is provided "as is." We are not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or damages beyond the amount paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Leuven, Belgium.
